Eternity Roses, Love, And Manifestation

Posted by Rosephoria Team on

For those who are still nursing love and romance after a year-long pandemic and lockdown, well done! For the rest of us, the idea of love seems as distant as the evening star herself. Many of us are longing for love more than ever. And a little helping hand in finding love would be much welcome.

Love is at the core of all human beings. Indigenous wisdom says it's the very essence of life. Love. The very word evokes a deep feeling of warmth in our hearts. And yes, we're all in this, you and me .. and everyone else.

So, the question remains, can we manifest love? Ask a love bug like me, and I'll say 'certainly', but here I'll leave personal opinion aside and dwell on collective wisdom. Let's learn what men and women have felt and known for centuries, and know the practices that have helped countless women (and men) find true love.

Roses: Emblem Of Love

Since time immemorial, roses have been thought of as the enduring symbol of love, especially the red roses. We know that even Shakespeare used roses to unfold the climax of his forever classic Romeo And Juliet. And not just William Shakespeare, hundreds of writers have used rose as a symbol of love, affection, and lust. “My luve is like a red red rose, That’s newly sprung in June,” wrote Robert Burns in 1794, which started an infinite flow of revenue for florists all over the world. But we still ask, what's in a red rose that inspires such powerful love?

In Greek mythology, we learn that Aphrodite, goddess of love, emerged from the sea in a shower of foam, and the brilliant white froth turned into white roses. The seduction of the roses was such that Aphrodite had numerous lovers among gods and mortal men including Ares, the god of war, and Anchises, the Trojan prince with whom she had her famed son, Aeneas. And it's not just Love that the rose attracts - but it brings with it lust and secrecy too.

Cupid, son of Aphrodite was said to have bribed Harpocrates to keep his mother’s love affairs a secret. This gave rise to the Latin phrase sub rosa, “under the rose,” as a term for secrecy.

The Eternal Rose And Love Manifestation

The modern classic 'Beauty And The Beast' brings to us the first enchanted eternal rose that would bloom until the prince was 21 years old. "If he could learn to love another, and earn her love in return by the time the last petal fell, then the spell would be broken. If not, he would be doomed to remain a beast for all time.” And so he did in the final seconds when Beauty confessed her undying love for Beast and the spell was broken.

There's no science-backed evidence that proves a connection between love and eternity roses. However, die-hard fans of eternity roses have something else to say. Many claim that the rose not only encourages self love, but the eternity rose also helps draw new love and deepen existing relationships. Others say it helps open up the heart chakra and that palpable energy of love is felt all around. Some suggest that you should place an eternity rose near your bath and it'll submerge you in loving energy that most find hard to resist.

We do not try to prove or disprove these claims. However, more and more love stories surrounding the eternity roses seem to surface. And in case love doesn't manifest, you're certain to leave your friends gasping at the beauty of a stunning centerpiece.
