The stories, folklore, and songs of the rose are entwined with Gods, Kings, Princes of the Church, and Saints. In the East, they are seen with Brahma and Buddha. In the world of Islam, the rose appears in the stories of Mohammed. What is it about this flower that grips the human mind so much ... as if in a magical trance? Is there something the ancients knew that we are missing? Could the rose really possess powers that drive us to fall in love, heal, and feel blissful?

Mythical Black Roses. Real Or Folklore?

The popularity of black roses has soared beyond anything we could imagine. It appears everywhere these days, from hot lifestyle publications to Hollywood. They are in everyday news, stories, and media gossip all over the internet. A spiritual healer named Cara in Central Park claims black roses are central to her work. She suggests that when it comes to emotional support, confidence, or overall vitality - it's this mythical flower that holds the key. We do not support these claims and think they're as fantastic as the tales of Alice In Wonderland.

The burning question remains - are black roses real? Can we find them in mother nature? The answer is 'yes' and 'no'. The ones that you see all over social media and in hi-def stock images are handmade by in-house designers who skillfully apply plant dye to present an elegant masterpiece. The black rose is a real rose transformed by human hands into the most beautiful. Like diamonds need cutting and polishing by human hands for the ultimate dazzle, so do roses for their ultimate beauty.

Nature's Black Roses

Black roses are loved for their mystifying and luxurious looks. It offers unrivaled beauty but also comes across rarely. The Black roses born in mother nature aren’t technically black. These blooms derive their color from rich dark tones of purple or red rather, and never pure black. They are aesthetically pleasing and bring in a gorgeous gothic element into your home, office, and garden.

It symbolizes many things, from lust, passion, and love to everlasting youth. The symbolism of everlasting youth may be connected to the everlasting black roses. These are hand-curated real roses dyed black by expert designers. Like other everlasting roses, they hold their shape and beauty for what seems an eternity. Hence they're popularly known as eternal roses.

Another interesting myth surfaced a few years ago. It claimed that real black roses grew in a quaint Turkish town Halfeti. The myth grew with more stories. Some said the teardrops of a heartbroken Turkish prince saddened the flowers and they mourned with him in black. Of course, these were given steam to attract tourists. The flowers themselves are natural and are the darkest shades of red, and the top of the petals do actually seem black.

A black rose is many things. It can signify hope, courage, and strength, and new beginnings. Like the red rose, these also symbolize love, but more intense.
